Don't Miss Out! Register Now for Japanese Skills Test

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training made a significant announcement on February 6 regarding opportunities for individuals interested in working in Japan through the skills workers project. Prospective candidates, both from private recruitment agencies and the public sector, will now have the chance to showcase their Japanese skills and language proficiency through a computer-based testing system.

Under the initiative, the Ministry has scheduled Japanese skills and language tests to be conducted at the Institute of Education Development (EDI). These tests are crucial for individuals seeking employment opportunities in the construction sector in Japan. The scheduled dates for the tests are February 4, 5, 9, 15, 16, 18, 24, 25, 2024, and March 2, 3, 6, 7, 2024.

To register for the tests, candidates must meet certain criteria set forth by the Ministry. Regardless of educational background, individuals as young as 17 years old are eligible to apply. However, it's important to note that only 100 candidates per month will be allowed to register for the tests. The registration process requires a fee of $14, and interested parties can find more information and register at http://ac.prometric-jp.com/testist/ssw/index.html.

The tests will be administered at the Education Development Institute (EDI), located at #9A, Street 370, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Phnom Penh. For inquiries and further assistance, candidates can reach out to the Information Centre for Testing at the following contact numbers: +855 12 937 168; +855 16 862 868; +855 15 729 123; +855 12 269 768.

Candidates are reminded to prepare adequately for the tests and to ensure they bring the necessary documentation on the day of the test. This includes a valid ID card, passport, or driver’s license. Additionally, the registration fee must be paid to the unit in charge of administering the tests along with the required documents.

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training's announcement regarding Japanese skills and language tests presents a valuable opportunity for individuals aspiring to work in Japan's construction sector. By showcasing their proficiency through these tests, candidates can enhance their prospects for employment and contribute to the bilateral partnership between Cambodia and Japan. Interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and register promptly to secure their spot for the upcoming tests.
