Emirates Airline Resumes Phnom Penh Daily Service via Singapore

Emirates Airlines is set to resume its daily service to Phnom Penh starting May 1, reinstating vital connectivity between Dubai and Southeast Asia. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President, expressed the airline's dedication to bolstering its Southeast Asian network and enhancing travel opportunities and trade connections.

The service will be operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, ensuring comfort and efficiency for travelers. With convenient timings, the flights aim to facilitate seamless connections to and from major European and American cities via Singapore.

Departing Dubai at 0230hrs and arriving in Singapore at 1405hrs, the flight will then proceed to Phnom Penh, arriving at 1635hrs. The return flight from Phnom Penh to Dubai will depart at 2050hrs, providing efficient transit through Singapore.

Emirates SkyCargo will offer substantial belly hold capacity for cargo, supporting the export of textiles, pharmaceuticals, and other high-value commodities from Phnom Penh. This move aligns with the growing trade between Cambodia and the UAE, which reached $151 million in 2021.

As Cambodia’s largest and rapidly developing city, Phnom Penh holds significant appeal for tourists and businesses alike. The resumption of air service comes amidst efforts to strengthen economic ties between Cambodia and the UAE, with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement coming into force in 2024.

The agreement signifies a commitment to fostering trade and economic cooperation between the two nations. With trade volumes on the rise and key items including clothing, footwear, and milled rice driving bilateral trade, both countries are poised to benefit from increased connectivity and collaboration.

Emirates' decision to restart its daily service to Phnom Penh underscores its commitment to supporting economic growth and connectivity in the region. As travel resumes and trade flourishes, the renewed partnership between Cambodia and the UAE sets the stage for mutual prosperity and collaboration in the years to come.
